Chris grew up near Cincinnati, OH and enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from high school in 2000. During his service, he deployed in support of Operation Southern Watch (2001-2002), Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004-2005), and finished his service at Joint Base Lewis-McChord supporting Operation Noble Eagle (2008-2012). Climbing Mt. Rainier 2009 changed the course of Chris' life. It was during that climb, that he realized he would pursue a career in the mountains after his service. Chris is currently working towards his IFMGA certification and has enjoyed using those skills with Veterans Expeditions all around the lower 48. He looks forward to taking his skills to the greater ranges with the comrades he has met through Veterans Expeditions.
Chris, his wife Andrea, their three daughters, and Coco the chocolate lab split their time climbing and guiding between New Hampshire, Washington, and West Virginia where they own Climbing New Heights, a climbing gym and guide service.
