Dean Sanchez: Finalist for the 2010 Liderers Award

Date: 24 Oct, 2010  No Comments

We are very proud to report that one of our first Veteran Expedition team members, active duty Marine, all around great guy and community leader, Dean Sanchez, is a finalist for the very prestigious Liderers Award!

Here is the note Dean sent out to a number of his friends, and we would greatly appreciate your support and votes for Dean as we will help him to implement his program in any way we can!

Dear Friends,
Recently I was nominated for a Leadership award by the American GI Forum, through the Miller Coors Company. 12 finalists were chosen from very diverse backgrounds from across the country. I am emailing you all asking that you take 10 seconds out of your busy schedules and go online and vote for me. The winner will receive $25K to go to the non-profit of their choice to fund a community leadership program. I will work with the American GI Forum’s Mile High Chapter to design and implement a Young Veterans Leadership Conference. After serving with so many young men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan, I believe that the one great thing that has come from this war, is a generation of Americans who are disciplined, know self-sacrifice, and are invested in making our country a better place for all. With the mentorship and guidance from those who have gone before us I believe that the future of our country is in the hands of these young men and women, and I will use the grant to foster these ideals and work towards making our country great.
Voting ends OCT 29th so please vote today
