Multisport Mountain Bike Pack Raft in New England

The trip begins Friday evening where we will issue out gear and hang out at camp. On Saturday we will have breakfast and break camp and depart for the Stairway Lake trailhead outside of Milrift, Pennsylvania. It is about a 5 mile bike ride until we reach Knights Eddy on the Delaware River. From Knights Eddy to the Takeout at West end beach the water portion of the trip is 6 miles. 

Participants have two options. Hike or Bike to the packraft launch at Knights Eddy. Cost includes camping expenses, packraft rental, and meal costs. For questions reach out to Jay at akmammoth@hotmail.com. 

You must complete the VetEx Waiver prior to attending.

2pm=8pm= Check in at Elks Brox Campground (201 Skyline Drive, Port Jervis NY 12771)

8pm- Form Groups and introduce VetEx Leaders

8:30pm- Issue Packrafts, Paddles, PFD’s

9pm= Summary of Packrafts, Packing, Bike breakdown and travel

Saturday 23 July 2022

6am= Breakfast

7am- Stage vehicles at West End Beach (Take=Out location)

8am=Shuttle to Trailhead

9am- Begin Trailhead hike or bike

11:30= Packraft Begins

5pm= Exit River at West End Beach

6pm- Return to Elks Brox Campground

7pm= Dinner

8pm= VetEx Movie
