Its been a great past two weeks for Veterans Expeditions! We have a new home for our 501c3 tax status with the finest mountaineers around at the American Alpine Club! We will call the AAC home until we are able to stand up as an independent organization on our own. Meanwhile though, we are very grateful to Phil Powers and his team at the AAC for their generosity and help! Don’t worry though, while we love the mountains and climbing, we are open to any and all expeditionary trips! Mountains, rivers, beach breaks, snorkeling…anything away from pavement and the daily rush of information (that thankfully we are part of for you today!).
This Thursday night we will be showing our documentary teaser at Boulder’s very own Draft House around 7:00 as part of the FLIC Event! For more information go to: http://flicboulder.org/tickets.htm.
Then, on the 19th, our film maker, Michael Ramsey, will be discussing how he made the film and his work with us at the prestigious Adventure Film Festival! We’d love to have you come out and listen to Michael talk about the film as well as our second public viewing of the trailer. For more information on that event, check out: http://www.rei.com/event/13498/session/16572
Finally, since a lot of you have been asking, we’re hoping to finalize our funding for the Baja California Trip by Thanksgiving and should have the application up and out by then. Please be patient with us if you do not see it right away! We’re working hard to get it done and get more of you outside!
Looking forward to seeing you all this week!
