Veterans Expeditions (VetEx) has been training all summer in the Colorado high country. Our teams start early and spend the day climbing some of the most unique and remote terrain in the lower 48. The Mummy Range and the Grand Traverse in Rocky Mountain National Park, where some of this summer’s highlights.
We are now ready for our next challenge, Grand Teton on 9/11. Thank you to all of our sponsors, supporters, family and friends. We want to give a special thanks to the great folks at the American Alpine Club whose tireless help and patience with our young organization has meant so much; to the Sierra Club who is the lead sponsor for this particular climb, to Jackson Hole Mountain Guides who will make sure we get up the mountain safely, to Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides for their training and constant logistical support, and to many others who have given time, resources, or gear without hesitation! Without your support, VetEx would not be able to send this team of military veterans to climb Grand Teton on this important day for our vets. We climb for all those who lost their lives ten years ago and for all of those who have served. We will be filming the climb and producing a short documentary that will be shown this Veterans Day. Our short film from this past years 9/11 climb will be debuted in October. Stay tuned for the film debut dates and locations.
