Dan joined the Marine Corps Reserves while attending the Virginia Military Institute and eventually deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He grew up enjoying the outdoors which eventually led him to start climbing. He was introduced to the team at Veterans Expeditions in 2018 while trying to expand his climbing skills and experience. After his first event, VetFest, he realized that he had found a group of veterans that genuinely enjoyed sharing their outdoor knowledge and experience. Daniel currently lives in Northern VA and takes every chance he can to get out and climb.
