Backcountry Skiing at Mount Hood (Intermediate)

Join Veteran's Expeditions on a climb and ski descent of a classic volcano in the Pacific Northwest!

This single-day trip is approximately 7 miles round trip with 5,300 feet of elevation gain to the summit, so participants will need a good base level of fitness to be able to complete this climb. Participants must come with their own helmet, ice axe (two highly encouraged), crampons (ski crampons reccomended), ski/split board equipment, avalanche equipment (beacon, probe, shovel), appropriate clothing, food and water.

Requirements: Participants must have experience using crampons and ice axe (including knowing how to self arrest a fall), backcountry touring, and have completed AIARE 1 or equivalent.
