Join Veteran's Expeditions on a backcountry ski tour to the crater rim of Mount Saint Helens. Weather permitting, you'll be rewarded with easily accessible turns and epic views of all the volcanoes in the PNW!
To reach the crater rim, it's 5.5 miles (11 miles round trip) and 5,700 ft of elevation gain. A good level of fitness is needed to successfully reach the crater rim. Participants will be expected to provide their own gear for this trip. This includes an alpine touring ski setup or splitboard, crampons for ski boots and/or skis, ice axe/whippet, avalanche beacon, probe, and shovel.
Requirements: Participants are required to have completed avalanche safety training (AIARE I or similar) and have prior experience backcountry touring.
