Winter Backpacking at Artist Point (Beginner to Expert)

Join Veteran's Expeditions on a wintery snow camping overnight at Artist Point between Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan! This is an excellent introduction to snow camping for those who are interested in extending their backpacking to all seasons!

This trip will be an overnight backpacking and cover about 4-5 miles with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. This is a beginner level trip meant to introduce veterans to winter backpacking.

Beginner Requirements: Anyone can join this trip! Participants will be required to bring their own snowshoes (you can rent if you don't own), appropriate winter outdoor clothing, food and water, and the other essential outdoors equipment (10 Essentials). We have tents, stoves, and sleeping pads to loan out if needed. You must let us know ahead of time if you need anything so we can make sure you're covered. This trip is beginner friendly but participants should have a good base level of mountain fitness.
