Women's Backpacking in the Cascades (Beginner)

Calling all women veterans! Now is your chance to get out and connect with other women vets. Join PNW Veterans Expeditions on a womens-only backpacking trip to Snow Lake, Gem Lake, and Upper Wildcat lake, with an optional excursion to hike up to Wright Mountain.

This hike is a short one hour drive from Seattle but boasts beautiful views inside the Mount Baker Snoqualamie National Forest. The trip will be approximately 14.5 miles with 4,160ft elevation gain. There are multiple opportunities to stop and camp throughout the hike, based on how the group is feeling.  No backpacking experience is required. However, participants will be expected to carry packs up to ~45lbs for up to 8hrs at a time. Participants will be expected to provide all of their own backpacking gear. VetEx does have a small gear catche available, should you not be able to obtain the items in advance of the trip.
