Liz's Story
Liz has succumbed to the concept of believing the most in one of Yvon Chouinard's quotes. “I have a little different definition of evil than most people — When you have the opportunity and the ability to do good and you do nothing, that's evil. Evil doesn't always have to be an overt act, it can be merely the absence of good.” — Yvon Chouinard.
Liz has a lifelong passion for the outdoors, and has translated her personal and professional experiences with trauma and mental health advocacy, to her life’s work. Veteran Expeditions gave her the purpose she had been seeking post service.
After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2006, and obtaining her Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Liz served as a Logistics Readiness Officer. Her career took her abroad to work as an event and travel coordinator for top military and civilian leaders, the State Department and other esteemed politicians from around the globe.
Post service, she joined the civilian human resources world, working with both the military and civilian populace in the workforce. Liz has since worked in defense and corporate HR to create robust programs and collaborations between veterans and employers. In 2015 she launched the first ever veteran consultation company for corporate hiring in the United States.
