Matt grew up in Ventura, California until he enlisted in the Army in 2005. He served three tours, one in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. He was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, Fort Sill, OK, Bamberg, Germany, JBER, AK, JBLM, WA and Fort Bragg, NC. After retiring, he moved back to the PNW to enjoy the many recreational opportunities and continue pursuing certification as an AMGA Alpine and Splitboard Guide.
