Sterling graduated from Northern Arizona University and was commissioned into the Army as an armor officer, where he served one deployment to Afghanistan. After his military service, he moved to Colorado where he continues to serve his community as a police officer. Sterling enjoys all forms of outdoor recreation but primarily spends his free time mountain biking.
